Aviva has appointed Barry Edgar and Lisa Stephens to the new position of account development manager.
Aviva has appointed Barry Edgar and Lisa Stephens to the new position of account development manager.
Barry is responsible for Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia, while Lisa concentrates on New South Wales and Queensland.
Aviva's general manager distribution, Paul Northey, said the appointments highlighted Aviva and Navigators commitment to delivering top quality services for financial advisers.
The new role of account development manager, will focus on enhancing relationships with financial adviser dealer groups and providing business support tools to assist their businesses to grow and develop.
Both Barry and Lisa have extensive experience in the financial services industry.
Barry spent 20 years at ANZ in a number of senior roles focusing on alternative distribution strategies. Before joining Aviva he was business relationship manager for Wizard Home Loans.
And, Lisa has spent the past three years as business development manager for Navigator. Prior to this she held roles as an account manager for Bridge Information Systems and as operations manager in a financial planning company.
According to Barry, this is a new exciting role which is dedicated to business growth for advisers. This includes assisting with lodging an AFSL application, compliance and training issues for advisers and offering a comprehensive practice management service.
These appointments follow the recent announcement of the return of former Navigator Executive, Stephen Trist to the role of national key account manager and Paul Northeys promotion to general manager distribution.
