Aviva Australia today announced the appointment of two new business development managers for its Perth office – John Marks and Shane Ingate.
Aviva Australia today announced the appointment of two new business development managers for its Perth office – John Marks and Shane Ingate.
With over seven years in the financial services industry, John Marks joins Aviva as business development manager for Aviva’s life insurance business. John’s experience includes time with some of the leaders in the industry, with previous roles including account executive with Colonial Partners and dealership development manager with the Colonial Dealerships. More recently, John held the position as sales manager with CommInsure.
Commenting on John’s appointment, Aviva WA State manager Tony Femia said that he was delighted with John’s appointment to what is a key position, and said he felt John’s extensive industry experience would help drive growth for the business.
"John’s background in the industry gives him the perfect grounding for this role. With experience ranging across financial services products as well as experience working within Colonial’s dealerships, I’m confident John will be a strong asset in continuing to grow our business within this state," said Tony.
Tony has also recently welcomed Shane Ingate as the new business development manager for Navigator – Aviva’s investment administration platform.
With over 25 years experience in the financial services industry, Shane brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role as well as sound business acumen. Shane’s previous roles have included a risk and superannuation business development role with ING and more recently as business relationship manager (Corporate Super) with AMP. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Marketing from Curtin University and is currently studying for the Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).
Aviva WA State manager, Tony Femia says that he is pleased to welcome both John and Shane to Aviva Australia and looks forward to working with them to drive both sides of the business into continued growth.
