On 7 May the General Shareholders Meeting of Commercial Union Pension Fund Company appointed Andrzej Gladysz as a Management Board member.
The resolution is effective subject to approval by the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Committee.
Andrzej Gladysz will be responsible for the company’s administrative and legal affairs.
Andrzej Gladysz has been working for the CU group since 1998. He is the general director and poxy of Commercial Union Poland Life Insurance Company. From the outset he participated in the creation and development of the CU group; he has also been a member of supervisory boards of CU group companies.
Andrzej Gladysz (born in 1966) completed a law degree at Warsaw University and a PhD programme at Warsaw School of Economics, Poland’s leading business school. He is an experienced solicitor. He actively participated in the creation of the insurance market in Poland. From 1991 to 1998 he held senior positions in the insurance supervision bodies, initially in the Ministry of Finance and then in the State Office of Insurance Supervision. He was awarded a medal for significant service to the insurance industry for participation in codification of Polish insurance law. Since 2001 he has been chairman of the Law and Ethics section of the Polish Chamber of Insurance.
After obtaining permission of the regulator, the Management Board of CU Pension Fund Company will consist of: Piotr Szczepiórkowski, general manager, Krzysztof Cetnar, Management Board member and Andrzej Gladysz, Management Board member.
