From today Delta Lloyd has a new product line in the household field.
The package includes a fire and theft, buildings and liability policy and it provides a guarantee against under insurance.
What is new is the cover for damage resulting from indirect precipitation and for damage resulting from external catastrophes. There is unlimited free additional cover for improvements to rental properties.
The household product replaces the existing household product line, both for separate policies and as part of the insurance package. Customers who take out a combined buildings and fire and theft policy will get an average discount of 7.5% on their premium.
If there is a Safe Home police quality mark for the home, the policyholder is given an additional 20% discount on the premium. The customer can obtain an alarm system for €19.95 a month through the intermediary. Intermediaries are paid a bonus for every alarm system sold.
Signing up via Meetingpoint is rewarded by repayment of twice the policy cost of €3.65 for each policy taken out. Where new household policies are taken out as part of the Insurance Package, twice €7 is paid back.
