Aviva is launching an internet site to teach young people, adults and senior citizens the rules of the Highway Code while having fun.
A matter of real concern for the whole country, the fight against the hazards of the roads is a matter for everyone. In order that the roads may become a place for everyone shared with respect by those who use them (vehicles and pedestrians, adults and children), Abeille Insurance has been involved in road safety since 1995. Every year the company, recently renamed Aviva, runs road safety campaigns aimed at the general public.
Today, Aviva is launching a road safety site whose content is completely free. Its aim is to tutor surfers – young and not so young – in learning and brushing up in the Highway Code. www.aviva-prevention.com teaches them in a fun way and offers them tools appropriate to their age that will make them aware of the importance of road safety. Aviva also brings an advisory dimension to the Highway Code (points system, traffic signs…).
Titles and animations for all ages … www.aviva-prevention.com, offers everyone a chance to familiarise himself with the basic principles of the Highway Code.
Interactive and innovative, the site is aimed at:
- children aged 4-13 to teach them to be ‘good citizens of the road’:
- A first on the Internet: a fun educational Web serial. A real educational tool and still not released on the Net, the animated cartoon ‘Alex & Co’ is a fun way to teach children the Highway Code through play. Children can follow the 26 episodes of the cartoon with its modern graphics either at school or at home. The can also win gifts by playing and giving correct answers to questions involving the ideas touched on in the course of the episode.
- young people, adults and senior citizens wishing to test themselves when they want:
- A Virtual Driving School: ‘Im good on the road’. This title allows future drivers to learn their Highway Code and driving licence holders to revise the principles without any constraints by going to www.Aviva-prevention.com. AVIVA offers them the chance to take 24 theme-based tests of 20 questions each and 15 tests of 40 questions under the same conditions as those required for the driving test.
- A Highway Code challenge game: Super Tournament is a game of questions on the Highway Code that puts surfers up against other players and allows them to revise their Highway Code while having fun and taking up challenges.
An advice and information site
In addition to these three free, innovative tools, the site offers surfers practical advice and general information on the Highway Code. All the details of the Highway Code and road safety are touched upon: traffic signs, new features of the code, the points system, the scale of penalties …
With www.aviva-prevention.com, Aviva is continuing its awareness campaign on both the importance of obeying the Highway Code and road safety with all surfers.
