Ireland: Aviva Ireland commits to Cork agreeing new lease on its Airport Business Park office

Aviva Ireland has signalled its commitment to Cork by agreeing a new five year lease on its office at the Cork Airport Business Park on the Kinsale Road.

Aviva Ireland has signalled its commitment to Cork by agreeing a new five year lease on its office at the Cork Airport Business Park on the Kinsale Road.

Making the announcement, new Aviva Ireland chief executive, Seán Egan said that the company’s Cork facility has proven its value and the decision to agree a new five year lease is a vote of confidence in its Cork employees and business.

Aviva Ireland provides a range of services to the company’s 1.3 million Irish customers from its Cork office, in particular in the health and general insurance areas.

Commenting in Cork following the agreement on the new lease, Mr Egan said: "Aviva Ireland is pleased to commit to Cork. We are here for the long term and look forward to growing a sustainable, successful business here with Cork central to that success."

"Our Cork employees, lead by John Kelleher and his team, have worked hard in Cork is what is a fiercely competitive and difficult market. The trading environment remains tough for all insurance companies, but I am confident that with the services our people in Cork are providing, that Aviva can continue to serve and grow our 1.3 million Irish customers."

Welcoming the agreement on the new five year lease, John Kelleher, executive manager, Aviva Ireland Cork said: "Everyone at the Cork office is pleased that this agreement has been made. We have worked hard to provide a quality service to our customers. Many of the staff here are from Cork City and the surrounding area so this decision is a boost to them and the local economy."
