  • New simplified organisation takes further shape
  • Purpose of the simplification: transparency, simplicity and low costs for customers
  • Reduction in number of directors, simpler reporting lines.

Delta Lloyd Group is today unveiling the further details of the simplified organisation that was announced on 5 August. The new, simplified organisation leads to an enhanced customer focus and greater simplicity thanks to a separation between the commercial division and the operational insurance and banking activities, as well as a reduction in the number of direct reports of the executive board.

The simplification mainly involves adjustments to the organisation's top structure with effect from 1 January 2011. In addition, identical activities are now carried out in so far as possible at a single location within the organisation in order to share knowledge and systems, save costs and improve the quality of service.

The sharing of activities was already started up within Delta Lloyd Group several years ago and will receive a strong impulse from the new simplified organisation. With effect from 1 January 2011 Delta Lloyd Group will have a total of 34 directors as opposed to 52 directors at the start of 2009.
