Last month Aviva Romania kicked off an extensive nationwide recruitment drive.

The slogan for the recruitment events being “Your back-up plan”, the first stage of the campaign took place in seven of the country’s major cities – Cluj, Timişoara, Oradea, Constanţa, Bucharest, Braşov and Iaşi – with an average turnout of 70-80 people in each city.

As part of these events, Aviva’s specialists explained to the participants what the advantages are of a long-term career in the life insurance industry and what path a financial consultant needs to take in order to be successful. At the same time, those participants who met the profile described as part of the event, as well as the company’s values – integrity, trailblazing, high performance, a team spirit – had the direct opportunity to enrol on a preparatory course for their future career in the financial sector.

With regard to this opportunity being offered by Aviva, Alexandru Leondari, deputy CEO & distribution director, stated that: “We are delighted that this first stage has been a real success, with over 30% of participants stating their interest to forge a career for themselves, with a company with a pedigree in the sector. At a difficult time from the economic perspective, when a large number of people are without work and are not able to pay for their day-to-day outgoings, Aviva is offering, in practice, unlimited earning potential, but in line with the effort put in.”

In the second stage of the campaign, Aviva is planning to implement new recruitment strategies in five pilot cities, with a specific demographic, subsequently proceeding to cover all regions of the country.

“Through this intense recruitment activity, our main goal is to expand our workforce, with the aim of recruiting 300 financial advisers by the end of this year. The whole campaign represents a significant investment in the future – all those recruited will benefit from an extended training programme which will help them to develop their financial and management skills, but also to test themselves as professionals in an international business environment,” stated Shah Rouf, CEO of Aviva Romania.
