Delta Lloyd Bank is this week introducing the New-Build Mortgage especially for people who want to buy a new-build property. This mortgage takes account of the specific requirements of customers who want to buy a new-build property.

Delta Lloyd Bank is this week introducing the New-Build Mortgage especially for people who want to buy a new-build property. This mortgage takes account of the specific requirements of customers who want to buy a new-build property. The offer applies for a favourable term of 11 months and a high rate of interest is paid on the construction deposit account. The New-Build Mortgage can be taken out in combination with any of the repayment plans offered by Delta Lloyd.

The advantages of the New-Build Mortgage are:

  • Offer validity period of 11 months (7 + 4 extension);
  • The interest rate on the construction deposit identical to the mortgage rate;
  • A good rate and it can be taken out with any of Delta Lloyd Bank's repayment plans.

Erica Blom, director of Delta Lloyd Bank, says: "With the Delta Lloyd New-Build Mortgage the broker can offer his customers a mortgage for which there is a good chance of it being paid off within the fixed (longer) offer period, without having to pay a higher rate for it. The offer is valid for longer than the average period on the market. The providers who also recognise an 11-month qualifying period attach a higher rate to this mortgage than would normally be the case for mortgages with a shorter term. We don't do that."
