Questions on health are more detailed since the Insurance Contract Act reform ¿ liability for brokers is increased - Delta Lloyd offers tariffs with a waiting period and no questions on health
Since the Insurance Contract Act (VVG) reform, questions on health in insurance contracts are more detailed. Brokers' liability has therefore also increased considerably. The Wiesbaden-based financial services provider Delta Lloyd is therefore offering an alternative, with life insurance tariffs with a waiting period and no questions on health. Depending on the tariff and the level of death benefit, the customer receives full cover after 12 or 36 months. In the event of an accident, the full insurance benefit will be paid even during the waiting period.
Disability waiver
There is also a further option to include a disability waiver, again without any questions on health. In the event of incapacity, Delta Lloyd will take over the payment of contributions for the customer after the waiting period of 36 months.
Tele-underwriting as a third alternative
Brokers who would like to offer their customers immediate cover, while avoiding the liability resulting from answers to health questions, can also benefit from Delta Lloyd's established tele-underwriting service. In coordination with the broker, an appointment for a telephone interview is arranged with the customer. Specially-trained Delta Lloyd staff then call to go through the health questions with the customer. Using this process, not only is the liability taken away from the broker, but they also save time and are more available to give advice. The advantage for customers is that they receive a very fair offer, exactly tailored to their state of health. They also receive insurance cover much more quickly.
