From mid September Delta Lloyd has been sending out Uniform Pension Overviews (UPOs) to active pension plan participants. The UPO shows the pension situation, both current and future, for the pension plan participant and any dependants. From this year pension accrual (Factor A) will also be indicated on the UPO. The covering letter Delta Lloyd sends out with the UPO is tailored to the age group that the pension plan participant comes under.
Emiel Roozen, CEO of Delta Lloyd Levensverzekering NV, explains: "You can find details on the UPO for both employers and employees on the specially set-up website www.deltalloyd.nl/upo, including: What is the UPO? Who is the UPO sent to and when? You can also find the answers to FAQs. There is a special audio and visual presentation too, which provides a clear, step-by-step explanation of the pension system and the various sections of the UPO."
The UPO is a standardised pension overview which is provided every year to active pension plan participants. From 2008 provision of a UPO has become a legal requirement under the Dutch Pensions Act (Pensioenwet). Delta Lloyd first started sending the UPO to collective pension scheme participants last year.
