CGU and Norwich Union announce that the European Commission has today confirmed clearance on competition grounds of the proposed merger between the two companies to form CGNU.
The merger remains subject to obtaining a number of other regulatory clearances and to the sanction of the Court, and is expected to become effective by early June.
