Australia: Aviva's software answers advisers' online demand

An independent national survey has shown that 72% of Australian financial advisers want greater integration of financial planning software and platforms.

An independent national survey[1] has shown that 72% of Australian financial advisers want greater integration of financial planning software and platforms.

“We recognised this need more than two years ago,” said Aviva’s Bruce Hawkins, general manager client services. “Our focus has been on fully integrated software and this was recently recognised when Investment Trends’ national analysis[2] praised Aviva’s n-link software as a leader in online transactions.”

It was the second consecutive year that n-link earned top ranking in this area of the national analysis, which researched Australia’s premier 13 financial services software products.

n-link is Navigator’s adviser software package, providing online tools which make doing business with Navigator easy for advisers.

The October 2005 analysis ranked Aviva’s online transaction service as a market leader – and first-ranked in the "general features" category. The analysis compares software systems and is an annual benchmark for the financial services industry.

The analysis also highlighted that Navigator’s Aviva’s n-link rated better than the industry average for product management, practice management and marketing services.

Mr Hawkins, said: “n-link’s efficient client management and administration tools save advisers time and frustrating paperwork through on-line transaction facilities and financial planning tools.”

The tools available via n-link include financial planning, on-line transaction and access to real-time client information and reporting.

Mr Hawkins, said: “Together, these tools provide advisers with quick and easy access to the latest client information and investor reporting, combined with the ability to transact on their clients’ accounts in a timely and efficient manner.

“We are constantly updating and improving the service. Already this year we have enhanced access to investor reports, made transactions easier and introduced a portfolio diagnostic tool,” he said.

“A further testament to the success of n-link is its use by advisors, with more than 50% of investment transactions being submitted online this year. Clearly advisers have embraced the technology and are benefiting from the n-link software.”
