Josi and Danny make the OUTstanding Role Models Lists

Josi Reinhardt and Danny Harmer

Josi Reinhardt (they/them), Customer Service Representative, and Danny Harmer (she/her), Chief People Officer, have both been named in the 2022 OUTstanding LGBT+ Role Model Lists.

Josi has made the OUTstanding Top 100 LGBT+ Future Leaders’ Role Models List for the second time after being named in 2020.

Josi sits on the Aviva Pride steering committee and will take over as Aviva Pride co-chair at the end of the year. They’re involved in their local DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) group and help run an internal DEI podcast titled ‘Me, You & Taboo’, as well as writing for a monthly DEI newsletter in our Life business.

Josi has also worked with our DE&I team, most recently on a piece of work to allow colleagues to display their pronouns on their work ID badges.

In addition to their work with Aviva Pride, Josi is neurodivergent and works with our Avivability community.

Josi Reinhardt, Customer Service Representative said: “I am very grateful to be on the OUTstanding Future Leaders’ List again – there’s always more to do and I will continue to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, particularly trans and nonbinary people. Every time someone comes out to me, or seeks my support on neurodivergence or mental health, it warms my heart. I want to leave the world a little kinder than I found it.”

Danny has been named in the OUTstanding Top 50 Ally Executives Role Model List.  As well as being Chief People Officer, Danny is the Co-Executive Sponsor of our Pride Community.

Danny also this year announced Aviva’s sponsorship of Queer Britain, the UK’s first LGBTQ+ museum and archive, which will provide skills-based volunteering opportunities for Aviva colleagues.

Danny Harmer, Chief People Officer, Aviva said: “I feel privileged to be named in the OUTstanding Ally Executives List – it’s really a reflection of the brilliant Pride community at Aviva. And we can all be active advocates – speaking and standing up for communities and seeking to understand and help them tackle any issues they face. I am lucky to know and work with so many people who inspire me to act.”
