Aviva will "rub shoulders" with 1,400 of the world's most senior opinion formers from 25 to 29 January at this month's World Economic Forum.

As part of the "forward thinking" campaign, Aviva is sponsoring CNBC Europe's comprehensive television coverage of the Forum. CNBC is the official media partner for the event.

Aviva will have on-air and on-site branding, and each delegate will receive a CNBC welcome pack which will include a DVD copy of Aviva's "forward thinking" TV campaign.

The 2006 delegate list includes Microsoft chairman Bill Gates, United Nations secretary general Kofi Annan, British chancellor of the exchequer Gordon Brown, Indian prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh, sporting legends Pele and Muhammed Ali, U2 lead singer Bono and the founders of internet search engine Google.

Group corporate affairs director Stephen Pain said: "We are delighted that Aviva is associated with this prestigious event. As a meeting of opinion formers there are few events that rival the World Economic Forum and Aviva will only benefit from raising its profile among this influential group of people.

"The World Economic Forum states that it is ‘committed to improving the state of the world' and we feel that this is a natural fit with the spirit of our ‘forward thinking' campaign."
