Overview
Aviva is proud to take action with local partners to help improve employability prospects across Perth and Tayside. We’re establishing programmes which aim to improve social outcomes for disadvantaged communities and young people across the region.
Improving employability prospects
Career Ready and YMCA Tayside
Aviva are working with local secondary schools in collaboration with local authority, government programmes and charity partners to support young people via employability programmes. These include Career Ready, a mentoring and paid internship programme empowering young people from under-represented backgrounds, as well as an early intervention programme with YMCA Tayside. Learn2Earn seeks to engage young people at risk of disengaging from education, equipping them with the confidence and self-belief to realise their own potential and the skills and knowledge to succeed.
Through supporting our charity partners and mobilising the diverse pool of skills, experience and backgrounds of our colleagues through volunteering opportunities, we aim to inspire the next generation of Perth, raising aspirations and reducing employment inequalities faced by young people in the region.
