Aviva Investors and Capital & Continental today announce they have commenced the building of an eight-level office tower in the St-Ouen district bordering Paris.

The 14,000 square metre commercial property, with 249 parking spaces, is in a highly visible location bordering the “Périphérique” (the ring road of Paris). On the other side, the building has views over the Parc François Mitterand, a garden leading to the entrance of the RER railway station.

The building will be one of the first new developments with a Paris address to meet such high sustainability standards (HQE high environmental quality and BBC low consumption building).

The development, for which the funding is ungeared, is scheduled for completion in February of 2012. The building represents an investment being made on behalf of Aviva's UK life funds.
