France: New chief executive for Aviva Investors France

Aviva Investors, the global asset management business, today announced the appointment of Jean-François Boulier as chief executive of Aviva Investors France.

Aviva Investors, the global asset management business, today announced the appointment of Jean-François Boulier as chief executive of Aviva Investors France. He replaces Eric Duval de la Guierce, who is stepping down from this role.

Jean-François is currently the chief investment officer of Aviva Investors France and will move into the chief executive role on 21 September 2009. He will also become a member of the executive committee of Aviva Investors and continue as a member of the executive committee of Aviva France.

Jean-François joined Aviva Investors France in March 2008 and has over 20 years’ experience in senior roles in the asset management industry. His previous positions include head of euro fixed income and credit at Crédit Agricole Asset Management and chief investment officer with Sinopia Asset Management. His expertise in bond management, credit, and risk management are well known in France and he brings a track record of excellent performance to the role.

We have significant opportunities to grow our business in France and Jean-François has the necessary expertise and experience to achieve our ambitions.

“Jean-François also has an in-depth knowledge of our clients and our business, which is vital in the current volatile market. He’ll bring continuity as well as a fresh approach to this key role, with the help of Jean-Pierre Menanteau, CEO of Aviva France. I also would like to thank Eric for his successful leadership of Aviva Investors France since 2002.”

Jean-François Boulier said: “Having been a long-lasting value creator for Aviva France, the Aviva Investors France team has acquired knowledge and skill that it can use to serve a greater number of clients. It is this potential that I’m eager to mobilise for the benefit of those clients and Aviva.”

Pascal Heurtault, currently head of equity, will become chief investment officer of Aviva Investors France as part of the management restructuring. Eric Duval de la Guierce will continue at Aviva Investors France as an advisor to both Alain Dromer and Jean-François Boulier. He will also remain on the Aviva Investors executive committee until the end of 2009 and on the Aviva France executive committee until June 2010.
