Poland: From 29 September Commercial Union Investment Management (Poland) SA will be operating under a new name - Aviva Investors Poland SA

Aviva Investors Poland SA is part of one of the largest asset management companies in the world - Aviva Investors. It is responsible for managing funds worth £235 billion. It employs 1,100 people in 21 locations all over the world. Aviva Investors is part of the insurance and finance group known in Poland as Commercial Union. From 29 September of this year the management companies of the Aviva group around the world will adopt a single name, Aviva Investors (until now the leading brand was Morley Fund Management). Aviva Investors Poland SA holds a supervisory licence to manage securities portfolios and to offer investment advice. It is one of the largest companies in the asset management sector in Poland. The company manages assets worth 14 billion zlotys. These assets are predominantly assets in capital insurance funds of Commercial Union Polska - Towarzystwa Ubezpieczeń na Życie SA (Life Insurance Company) and in investment funds of Commercial Union Polska - Towarzystwa Funduszy Inwestycyjnych SA (Investment Funds Company), as well as own funds of the companies in the CU group. An interesting example of international collaboration within Aviva Investors is the fact that the Polish company has been entrusted with managing the assets of the hedge fund Central European Long Short Fund, which is offered to customers by the British company Aviva Investors.

"We can expect to see more of this kind of collaboration from now on. Polish customers will be able to invest in the best products from Aviva Investors around the world and customers in other countries will have access to products based on Polish assets," adds president Przybylski.

All of the formalities involved in changing the company name have now been completed. The headquarters and other company details remain unchanged.

The introduction of the new name for the asset management company will not affect customers of the companies of the Commercial Union Poland group.
