Aviva group plc registered outstanding growth in life assurance in the first half of 2007. The world-wide volume of new policies concluded rose year on year by 25% to £19,294 million (785 billion crowns).
"Our new regional structure brings us closer to our customers, many of whom we need to offer better and easier products capable of holding their own against the daily changes in the market. Continual emphasis on satisfying the needs of our existing and future customers will give rise to new sales and consequently will bring about growth," comments Andrew Moss, group chief executive of the Aviva group.
A subsidiary of the group in the Czech Republic, Aviva životní pojišťovna a s continues to be focused on the development of regularly paid insurance premiums. Growth in performance in this sector was up by 17% year on year. The company's assets compared to last year increased by 24% to a value of 2,762 million crowns in total.
