Aviva Capital Management has appointed Jason Maxson as junior securities analyst to its credit research team. Jason joined Aviva Capital Management on 24 July 2006. Jason will be responsible for conducting research and generating investment recommendations on the issuers in the investment grade sectors of finance, REITs, and telecommunications.
Aviva Capital Management's head of research, Joseph Wittrock, said Jason is a valuable addition to the team. "Hiring and developing qualified analysts is a critical component to maintaining a superior research division. Introducing people with varied backgrounds strengthens the capabilities of the entire investment staff by enhancing our ability to make real-time decisions.
"Jason's addition to our team strengthens the breadth and quality of our research while boosting the number of internal research analysts to eight. These eight analysts are constantly collaborating with our Portfolio Management partners to identify and implement market opportunities." he said.
Jason joins Aviva Capital Management after 2.5 years at Principal Real Estate Investors where he was a portfolio analyst. His responsibilities included researching the creditworthiness of tenants, underwriting potential real estate acquisitions, and providing analytical support to portfolio managers regarding business plans and investment strategies. Prior to Principal, Jason was a senior financial analyst at Intel Corporation where he managed a multi-billion dollar capital forecast process.
