Morley Fund Management, the largest property fund manager in Europe, has appointed three new members to its growing specialist property funds team.
Morley Fund Management, the largest property fund manager in Europe1, has appointed three new members to its growing specialist property funds team. Clare Andrews, Victoria Amlot and Audrey McKeon have joined the specialist team as assistant fund managers.
Morley manages more than Ł23 billion in property assets and has a team of over 100 people dedicated to property. Recently, Morley was voted the most admired employer in the property industry in a Reading University survey2 for the second year running.
Phil Clark, head of specialist property funds at Morley Fund Management, said: “Morley’s specialist funds have grown at a rate of 30% in funds under management over the last year in line with investor demand for specialist property capabilities. New funds continue to be set up every year and these new appointments are a positive addition to our team.”
The new managers are:
Clare Andrews - Clare will be working on The Mall Fund (Ł2.9 bn) as assistant fund manager. The Mall Fund was one of the first specialist property funds and is one of the largest in the UK. Clare will be working closely with Capital & Regional who is the asset manager for the fund. Previously Clare worked at Capital & Regional as a retail surveyor and was directly involved with The Mall Fund. She will be reporting to Philip Nell, fund manager.
Vicky Amlot joins Morley as assistant fund manager working on the Beach student accommodation fund and Quercus healthcare fund. Vicky joins from Schroder Property Investment Management where she was property adviser to the Residential Property Unit Trust. She will be reporting to Neil Gardiner, fund manager.
Audrey McKeown joins as assistant fund manager for Airport Property Partnership and The Ashtenne Industrial Fund. Audrey joins from FuturePlus Financial Services in Sydney where she spent two years as a property analyst and has worked for Weatheralls and Knight Frank in the UK.
Morley has been at the forefront of innovation in property fund management and has launched fourteen specialist sector based funds with partners, including: Igloo Regeneration Fund, Quercus Healthcare Property, The Junction and The Mall Fund.
