Morley Fund Management, one of Europe’s largest property fund managers, has appointed Shari Davis as assistant fund manager to its expanding property multi- manager team.
Morley Fund Management, one of Europe’s largest property fund managers, has appointed Shari Davis as assistant fund manager to its expanding property multi-manager team. Shari will report to head of institutional property funds, Phil Ellis and will work on all of Morley’s existing multi-manager and indirect property client portfolios.
The multi-manager property team at Morley manages over Ł1 billion of indirect property assets on behalf of pension funds and has received strong flows of new business in the past year. In July, the team was awarded a Ł60 million mandate from the Environment Agency Active Pension Fund. This was the scheme’s first allocation to property.
Head of Institutional Property Funds Phil Ellis said: “Pension funds and consultants are increasingly recognising the benefits of investing in indirect property particularly through multi-manager mandates as it provides many clients with the best route to gain exposure to the commercial property market.
“We are delighted to welcome Shari to join the team at Morley. Her experience in strategic investment and property fund research will be an invaluable asset to us.”
Shari joins Morley from DTZ Investment Management where she was a senior investment strategist working in the investment management team for the last four years.
Shari began her career in Australia in 1994, advising the Queensland Government on their property portfolios. She then joined AMP Henderson Global Investors in 1996 as property manager managing retail, office and industrial portfolios. In 2001, Shari moved to the UK, briefly working for HSBC before joining DTZ.
