Over 80 of property's leading finance professionals attended the official launch of the Property Finance Forum (PFF) earlier this week at a reception held at top of 30 St Mary Axe (the Gherkin). The PFF is the first dedicated network for finance directors and senior finance professionals working in the property sector.
Over 80 of property's leading finance professionals attended the official launch of the Property Finance Forum (PFF) earlier this week at a reception held at top of 30 St Mary Axe (the Gherkin). The PFF is the first dedicated network for finance directors and senior finance professionals working in the property sector.
The idea for a forum for property finance professionals was conceived by Julius Gottlieb, property finance director at Morley Fund Management. The PFF's steering group, chaired by Julius, includes amongst others, Andy Banks, finance director at Legal and General Property, Robert Parkinson, tax manager at Hammerson Plc, William Sunnucks finance director at Capital & Regional Plc and Ben Freeman, finance director at Prudential Property Investment Management.
Commenting on the launch of the PFF, Julius Gottlieb, chairman, said: "The aim of the Property Finance Forum is to be the dedicated network for finance directors and senior financial professionals working in the property industry. Its primary objective is to bring together members to allow them to meet and exchange ideas and experiences.
"The property market has had a great run over the last few years but the industry is likely to face many challenges and opportunities during 2005 and over the next few years. The role and responsibilities of the Finance Director in property has become increasingly important and with the PFF network we hope that we can face both the challenges and the opportunities together."
