Delta Lloyd Group has taken the first step in the outsourcing of its facility management services.
Delta Lloyd Group has taken the first step in the outsourcing of its facility management services. An agreement in principle has been concluded for the outsourcing of catering, cleaning, security, reception, green space maintenance and passenger transport to ISS Integrated Services BV. About 30 employees of Delta Lloyd Group will be transferred to ISS as result of the transaction.
The outsourcing stems from the strategy of Delta Lloyd Group to concentrate on its core competences as a financial services provider and to seek specialised providers in other areas who are able to offer the highest quality in the long term. An extensive tendering procedure preceded the selection of ISS. The outsourcing guarantees continuity of the facility management services, and also creates cost-saving opportunities. ISS employs the integrated services concept to deliver the required performance.
The compensation & benefits package offered by ISS was an important consideration for Delta Lloyd Group in choosing ISS. The social plan for outsourcing agreed earlier between Delta Lloyd Group and the trade unions was central in this respect. The starting point of this social plan is ‘from work to work’.
The implementation of the outsourcing, including the transfer of staff, is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2004, subject to definite approval from the relevant authorities and the works council.
