Morley Fund Management, one of the UK’s largest fund managers, has launched TrusteeTutor.com. This free website has been developed for pension fund trustees seeking to maximise their understanding of the pension fund management industry.

Morley Fund Management, one of the UK’s largest fund managers, has launched TrusteeTutor.com. This free website has been developed for pension fund trustees seeking to maximise their understanding of the pension fund management industry.

TrusteeTutor.com covers areas such as:

  • The role of pension fund trustees
  • The different types of occupational pensions schemes available
  • An introduction to investments
  • The role of independent consultants
  • Myners’ Review and FRS 17

The website has been designed to complement trustee training days which Morley is hosting for its clients.

The need for full trustee training has been gaining importance since the Pensions Act 1995 placed new responsibilities on trustees and imposes penalties if they are not met. This attitude has also been strongly echoed in the Myners’ Report which was published in 2001.
