Navigator, Australia’s fastest growing investment portfolio administration service, has launched its first national television advertising campaign built around sponsorship of the new Channel 7 Money Report.

Presented by finance journalist David Koch, the Money Report will appear weeknights at 10pm as part of a comprehensive campaign which also includes sponsorship billboard advertising on Channel 7’s morning current affairs program Sunrise and Late News Finance Report.

"This campaign is a first for Navigator and demonstrates our strategy of moving investing onto a new plane. We wanted to brand Navigator as the new way of investing," said Rob Garnsworthy, CEO Norwich Union Australia, Navigator’s parent company.

"We recognised from our research that what investors really need depends on where they sit in the investment cycle.

"We took the four main stages of investing - from starting out through to selecting, managing and keeping track of a range of investments – and created an advertising campaign that highlights each of these important phases for investors.

"Navigator’s four advertisements address the need to – Plan, Choose, Manage and Track a portfolio. Each advertisement features an investor representing one of the four demand points and shows how Navigator addresses it," he said.

The Navigator advertising campaign will run throughout 2002 and will feature newspaper, magazine and billboard advertising. It has been created by Melbourne based advertising agency Samuelson Talbot.
