Aviva has launched Aviva Risk Training Solutions (ARTS) – a new digital learning platform designed to help businesses strengthen their risk management capabilities through accessible, expert-led training.
Now available to all Aviva commercial clients, ARTS has been developed in partnership with global technology company, SafetyCulture. The microlearning platform, which is built using more than 250 of Aviva’s loss prevention standards, provides free access to a growing library of Aviva-authored courses covering key risk areas such as property e.g. flooding and security, cyber-attacks, lithium-ion battery safety and sustainability.
With 25 courses already live and over 50 in development, ARTS is designed to evolve in line with emerging global risks, helping businesses benchmark against international risk management standards. The platform is mobile-first and available as an easy-to-use e-learning app, it can also be accessed via desktop, offering flexibility for different user preferences. ARTS is highly scalable, making it easy for businesses of all sizes to embed risk education into their day-to-day operations.
ARTS also complements Aviva’s recently launched Risk Management Platforms, which help customers manage risks online by accessing risk reports and tracking improvements and insights digitally.
The new platform builds on a long-standing relationship between Aviva and SafetyCulture, which began in 2018 and deepened during the COVID-19 pandemic, when both organisations collaborated to provide free training and risk management tools to businesses navigating unprecedented challenges.
Simon Cook, Technical Account Manager at Aviva Risk Management Solutions, said:
“Risk management training has evolved beyond a compliance requirement - it's now a vital tool for building safer, more resilient businesses. By offering our customers free access to high-quality education developed by Aviva’s risk experts, we’re helping them build practical skills and foster proactive risk-management cultures.
“Aviva has long championed the value of risk management, and forward-thinking businesses increasingly recognise its role in reducing potentially devastating incidents, accidents and financial losses. Over 44,0001 people have already taken Aviva courses via SafetyCulture’s own platform, demonstrating the growing appetite for accessible, expert-led training.
“We believe there should be no secrets in safety – and Aviva Risk Training Solutions enables us to reach even more customers with consistent, impactful and educational content. This platform reflects a shared ambition to combine trusted risk expertise with intuitive technology, helping businesses build confidence and capability in the face of evolving risks such as flooding, and get ready for a more resilient future.”
Alexander Brooks-Sykes, Head of Strategic Sales at SafetyCulture, said:
“At SafetyCulture, we’re focused on helping teams turn good intentions into real action. Our partnership with Aviva takes that ambition forward by combining trusted risk expertise with practical, easy-to-use learning. Together, we’re helping businesses make safety and risk awareness part of everyday culture, not just a compliance exercise. It’s about building confidence, improving workplaces and creating safer environments for everyone.”
With the rollout of ARTS across multiple markets planned for the future, the launch of the microlearning platform will ultimately support Aviva’s new Global Risk Management Solutions - a globally connected practice that brings together 230 of Aviva’s dedicated risk consultants across the UK, Ireland, and Canada, along with a network of trusted international partners, under one unified vision.
