UK
We are the UK’s leading diversified insurer, offering insurance (protection and health), wealth (pensions, savings and investments) and retirement products (annuities and equity release). Our general insurance personal lines include motor, home, travel, breakdown and pet insurance. Our commercial lines business serves companies across the UK and internationally. We also serve customers globally through our Lloyd's syndicate, Probitas.
Our UK business reflects the full breadth of Aviva’s capabilities, bringing together insurance, wealth and retirement services to offer customers what they need wherever they are in their financial journey. As our home market, it is central to our strategy, providing scale, strong customer relationships and a platform for innovation.
Ireland
In Ireland, Aviva provides life insurance, general insurance, and pension products to individuals and businesses. We support customers with protection, savings, and investment solutions, alongside motor, home, and commercial insurance.
Ireland is a closely aligned market to the UK, allowing Aviva to combine local expertise with the scale and capabilities of the wider Group. The market benefits from strong brand recognition and long-standing customer and broker relationships.
Canada
In Canada, Aviva is a leading provider of general insurance, offering products such as car, home, and commercial insurance to customers across the country. We work with brokers and partners to deliver protection for individuals, families, and businesses.
Canada provides important geographic diversification and exposure to a large, developed insurance market. The business is focused on general insurance, where there are opportunities for disciplined growth, particularly expanding in commercial lines.
International investments
Our international investments comprise operations in India and China. The Group owns Aviva India. In China, Aviva plc has a 50% shareholding in Aviva-COFCO Life Insurance Company Limited.
