Aviva launches Aviva Premier for larger and more complex commercial customers

Aviva has launched Aviva Premier, a new proposition designed for larger Mid-Market clients with complex risks, and who value close collaboration with their broker and insurer and are committed to actively managing those risks.

Aviva Premier supports Aviva's ambition to grow in the upper Mid-Market segment by bringing together the full breadth of its underwriting, claims, risk management and relationship capabilities into a single proposition. Designed for businesses with more complex insurance needs that want to work closely with their broker and insurer over the long term. Customers will have access to specialist expertise, tailored insurance solutions and dedicated support through a more joined-up Aviva relationship.

A refocused UK Commercial Lines

The launch of Aviva Premier follows a refocusing of Aviva's UK Commercial Lines business, creating a more aligned proposition and a simpler trading model for customers and brokers. The changes strengthen Aviva's ability to serve larger and more complex UK businesses in this segment by bringing more of Aviva's specialist expertise together around the customer.

Meeting customers’ evolving needs

Large businesses are facing a growing – and pressing – number of risks. From an insurance point of view, understanding the evolving risk exposures, adequate cover levels and the growing need for specialist risk management support are critical, but sometimes difficult, challenges.

While the Premier name will be familiar to many brokers, the proposition has been redesigned around the needs of today's Mid-Market businesses, bringing together underwriting, claims, risk management and relationship expertise in a more joined-up way. The launch provides brokers with a differentiated proposition for clients who value a closer, more joined-up insurer relationship.

Relationship-driven

Aviva Premier is built around close collaboration between the customer, broker and Aviva. Regionally aligned Client Relationship Managers (CRM’s) will work alongside brokers to strengthen the tripartite broker client Aviva relationship.  The CRM will act as a central point of contact across the services and specialist support Aviva provides.

Underinsurance protection

The proposition also includes a range of enhanced cover features designed to support businesses before, during and after a loss, including access to valuation services, claims preparation support and additional protection against underinsurance.

Enhanced claims support

Larger, more complex businesses often have larger, more complex claims. Aviva Premier gives customers access to dedicated Premier claims teams and a named Claims Service Manager, who will work with the customer, broker, and Aviva’s claims specialists to build a network of support before, during and after a claim to work towards a good outcome.

Risk management expertise

As part of the proposition, customers can benefit from Aviva's prevention-led approach to risk management. A dedicated risk consultant will manage all risk-related requirements, while customers will also have access to a range of risk services and products to help clients manage and grow their business safely.

Today's Aviva Premier reflects how customer needs have evolved and how we've refocused our business to serve larger and more complex clients.

Dave Martin, Managing Director, UK Commercial and Chief Distribution Officer, Aviva, said:

"Businesses are operating in an increasingly complex risk environment and many require more than a traditional insurance solution. They are looking for a partner that understands their business and can build tailored insurance solutions around them to mitigate risks and protect them when things do go wrong.

"Aviva Premier follows the refocusing of our UK Commercial Lines business and supports our ambition to grow with larger and more complex UK clients. It brings more of Aviva’s specialist underwriting, claims, risk management and relationship expertise together around the customer, while giving brokers a more aligned proposition and simpler way to trade with us.

“The result is that we are the only insurer able to write business end to end in the regions across our full commercial product range and regardless of customer size, giving brokers local access to Aviva’s scale, expertise and appetite for larger, more complex clients.

"Many brokers will recognise the Premier name. Today's Aviva Premier reflects how customer needs have evolved and how we've refocused our business to serve larger and more complex clients. It combines the expertise, service and long-term support that businesses increasingly value, while giving brokers a stronger proposition for customers with more sophisticated insurance requirements."
