- Aviva has strengthened its specialist Financial Institutions (FI) underwriting capability across its regional network, with four FI underwriters located in the Midlands & South, North of England and Scotland.
- New proposition gives brokers easier access to expert support and a broader range of tailored insurance solutions with five products for FCA-regulated businesses.
Aviva has announced investment in its Financial Lines segment, with the launch of a new regional network of underwriters for its Financial Institutions capability, from August 2026. Brokers will be able to access local Financial Institutions underwriting expertise through Aviva’s regional offices, building on its existing London capability.
Aviva Financial Lines sits within Aviva's Global, Corporate & Specialty (GCS) business. The move brings specialist Financial Institutions expertise closer to brokers and clients, while enhancing local service, technical support and access to decision-makers.
This new proposition includes a full suite of products designed specifically for Financial Institutions, including:
- Directors' & Officers
- Fund Directors' & Officers Liability
- Investment Management Insurance
- Professional Indemnity
- Crime cover
We're able to provide faster decisions, stronger technical support and tailored solutions for FCA-regulated businesses.
The products have been developed to meet the needs of FCA-regulated organisations, including investment managers, investment funds, building societies, mutuals, friendly societies and other regulated financial services businesses.
Alison Caine, Head of Financial Lines & Cyber, UK Regions at Aviva, said: "As demand for specialist expertise grows, we're expanding our Financial Institutions underwriting capability, bringing dedicated support and decision-making closer to brokers and clients.
"Backed by one of the largest regional Financial Lines underwriting teams in the market, as well as our established distribution network and broker relationships, we're able to provide faster decisions, stronger technical support and tailored solutions for FCA-regulated businesses.
"It's the latest step in our investment in regional specialist underwriting and our ambition to grow our Financial Institutions proposition across the UK."
