Green Flag, the leading breakdown provider owned by Direct Line Group, today announced it has been appointed by Northgate, the UK’s largest business-to-business light commercial vehicle rental and mobility solutions provider, as its rescue partner for both commercial vehicles and personal hire cars across the United Kingdom. This further strengthens and extends the existing successful partnership between Direct Line Group and Northgate’s parent company, ZIGUP. The agreement officially launches on 31 March 2025.
Northgate is an award-winning provider of commercial vans, offering scalable fleet solutions for a diverse range of businesses. It supports its customers through a nationwide network of 67 branches and workshops and is the rental arm of ZIGUP, the leading integrated mobility solutions provider across the UK, Ireland and Spain. ZIGUP provides has 11 operational brands for business and personal customers, which include vehicle rental and fleet management, accident management, vehicle repairs, service and maintenance, with a platform that provides services across the vehicle lifecycle to keep businesses and people moving, smarter.
Green Flag’s technological capabilities enable it to efficiently triage a wide array of breakdown situations, collaborating where appropriate with specialist providers, to deliver a comprehensive rescue service to get its customers back on track.
