Aviva and CajaGRANADA-BMN met this afternoon in Granada to proclaim the results achieved by its joint venture CajaGRANADA Vida over the past financial year. This will enable CajaGRANADA Vida to maintain an upward trend, currently managing a portfolio of over 127,000 policyholders.
The organisation, which has seen growth of over 10% in terms of capital managed in pension plans over the past financial year, as opposed to the same period of the previous year, has established itself as a hallmark in provident insurance and long-term savings products. CajaGRANADA Vida currently manages 14 pension plans for individuals and employees, through 10 pension funds with different investment policies: from the most conservative to those that invest 100% in variable yield. There’s a range of savings products to cover the client’s entire life (from insurance for children to pension plans).
Pedro Moles, director general of CajaGRANADA Vida, has demonstrated his satisfaction with the results gathered in over these ten years, and has affirmed that “our growth in pension plans demonstrates that yet again, there are more and more people who are aware of the necessity to plan their long-term savings. In order to do this, we are going to carry on working to offer a range of profitable products and services which allows our clients to maintain an adequate standard of living upon reaching retirement”.
On his part, Ramón Martín, director general of CajaGRANADA-BMN, has stated that “CajaGRANADA-BMN is very proud to hold a meeting like this at our central head office, and reinforce our ties with CajaGRANADA Vida, one of the leading companies in the sector, as a guarantee of professionalism and excellence in management. The next few years will see a growth in demand for products such as pension plans, and only the strongest companies, such as CajaGRANADA Vida, will be in a position to offer the best guarantees and the best profitability.”
Strength of the business in banking insurance
Aviva has developed a successful business model in the national banking insurance market as part of its growth strategy in Spain. In this way, it has created 50% holding companies since 2001 with each of its partners, all of them specialising in the distribution of its products on the subject of life insurance and pensions.
On his part, Ignacio Izquierdo, managing director of Aviva, has affirmed that “the trajectory of CajaGRANADA Vida is endorsed by a solid and effective alliance between two leading companies such as Aviva and CajaGRANADA-BMN. Both have developed a fully solvent business model which has reaped numerous successes after more than 10 years of joint activity. On this basis, we have every confidence that we shall continue to maintain this evolution just as positively over the next few years, despite the current economic situation”.
The keys to success, according to Martín Berasategui
To tie in with the celebration of the company’s latest business results, an event took place today at the central head office of CajaGRANADA-BMN, for the clients of CajaGRANADA-BMN and CajaGRANADA Vida, led by Martín Berasategui. The Basque cook has offered a report in which he set out the keys to his personal success, which culminated in the achievement of seven Michelín stars to grace his c.v.
During the event, Aviva expressed its gratitude to those attending with a special edition of the book “Mercados de España” (Markets of Spain), in which Martín Berasategui collaborated.
