Such a serious situation is really shocking. No doubt the growing environmental pollution and the pressure coming from intense social competition have endangered many people’s health and plagued them with a sub-healthy situation.
When speaking of a “major illness,” fear and helplessness often come to mind. The suffering from the disease itself and the ensuing gigantic expense of treatment impose unbearable burdens on most people’s lives.
However, in the past decade, major diseases have struck younger and younger ages. With the advancement of medical technology, many diseases can be prevented from developing into “major illnesses” if found, treated and cured in an early stage. Targeting such minor and major diseases, Aviva-Cofco creatively launched an insurance program titled “Lucky Health (Jixiang Ankang)” on 10 April 2012 that covers minor illnesses.
It is reported that the “Lucky Health” program has five highlights. Firstly, minor and major-illness coverage. This product covers not only the 38 most-common major illnesses, but also 10 commonly occurring minor diseases, and thus a total of 48 diseases are covered.
Secondly, the insurance liability of the Lucky Health program for minor illnesses is all extra compensation. This means that when a minor illness is compensated, the amount of compensation would not be deducted from the insured amount. Minor illnesses can be compensated up to three times, and total compensation can be up to 60% of the insured amount. After compensating for minor illnesses, the insurance policy continues to be valid. This truly brings tangible benefits to clients.
Another highlight of the Lucky Healthy program is its comprehensive compensation, as it provides insurance for death, complete disability, major illness and minor illness, as well as maturity claims. Each security plan has integrated and complete liabilities, considering and securing clients from every aspect.
Meanwhile, the Lucky Health program can return clients the insured amount when the policy expires if no compensation has been made for death, complete disability or major illness. It is really a value-keeping program.
In addition, the Lucky Health program has a remarkably high price effectiveness and flexibility. This program thoroughly considers the insured amount that each security plan may need and makes a proper distribution, trying best to create the most price-effective health insurance program. It has a wide selection not only because it considers various needs such as pension supplements, medical insurance and accident coverage, etc., but it can also be combined with various additional insurance options from Aviva-Cofco.
Example:
Mr An, 35 years old, a finance manager in a trading company. The company provides social security and supplementary medical insurance. But he feels pressured at work, eats irregularly and has a substantial monthly expense in the form of a housing loan. He realizes that his health is more important. To better protect his health, Mr An decides to buy the Lucky Health minor and major-illness insurance plan from our company.
He chooses to pay for 20 years, paying 8,194 RMB per year, with an insured amount of 0.2 million RMB, and he is insured until his 70th birthday.
Within the validity period, his security benefits include: death/complete disability compensation of 0.2 million RMB, 0.2 million RMB compensation for any one of the listed 38 major illnesses, and 40,000 RMB compensation each time for any one of the 10 listed minor illnesses, and totally three times compensation up to 120,000 RMB. After reaching maximum compensation for minor illnesses, the policy continues to be valid. At the age of 70 years old, Mr An can take back the 0.2 million RMB as his pension.
