Aviva supports Women of the Future

We were very proud to sponsor the ‘Corporate award’ at the recent Women of the Future awards. The awards were created to unearth and recognise the stars of tomorrow across diverse industries by celebrating inspirational high achieving women under 35.

The ‘Corporate award’ recognised organisations that best support and foster aspiring young women in developing their talent. The winner, The Olympic Delivery Authority, was commended for challenging stereotypes and helping to establish an environment in which women in construction can flourish. 

The award was particularly important to Aviva as we have a clear purpose to develop and recognise female talent. We have also recently launched our balanced leadership initiative which focuses on ensuring an effective gender and diversity mix throughout all levels in the organisation.

Our work on balanced leadership meant it was a natural step to sign up to the United Nations Development Fund for Women’s Empowerment Principles. This encourages business leaders to express support for advancing equality between women and men demonstrating equality means business.

This event showcased fantastic talent and dedication from Britain and the world's future female leaders. We will continue to develop and support female talent to work towards our goal of balanced leadership across Aviva and within the wider business community.
