Poland: You are the centre of attention – Aviva's first global campaign

Real customers and employees are the heroes of Aviva's first global campaign, starting today in Warsaw, London, Paris and Singapore.

Real customers and employees are the heroes of Aviva's first global campaign, starting today in Warsaw, London, Paris and Singapore. Aviva is also encouraging others to show their faces on well-known buildings. Alongside the advertising, there is also a social angle: Aviva is helping street children and is creating an international group of experts.

Aviva for the whole world
It has been possible to carry out this first global campaign thanks to Aviva having introduced its brand in all key markets – in Poland in June 2009. Aviva serves 53 million customers in 28 countries, including 3.5 million in Poland. The unified brand allows the group to communicate on an international scale.

You are the centre of attention
The heroes of the campaign are real customers, employees and partners of Aviva from many countries. Their photographs have been used widely, set against backdrops in Warsaw, London, Paris and Singapore. In November they will also appear in New Delhi and Mumbai. “We are emphasising that Aviva treats and appreciates each customer and employee individually. We understand the needs of each customer, we conduct dialogues, we help in difficult situations, and we keep our promises. This is the most important message behind our brand," underlines Dominika Kraśko-Białek, vice president of Aviva group in Poland.

The Polish faces of the campaign are as follows: Grzegorz Janusz – Aviva customer; Monika Onikijuk – insurance advisor; and company employees: Katarzyna Filipiak from the call centre and Robert Rogala, sales department manager.

Large-format photographs of the campaign's heroes have appeared on three buildings in the centre of Warsaw: the Intercontinental Hotel on ul. Emilii Plater; and Millennium Plaza and the WSiP building on Aleje Jerozolimskie.

Among the distinctive buildings that are changing into an unusual portrait gallery for the duration of the campaign are the National Theatre in London and the Opéra Garnier and CNIT La Défense in Paris.

Warsaw among the financial centres of the world
Poland is one of the most important markets in the world for Aviva, and Warsaw is one of the main financial centres of the world. “This way of appreciating Poland's achievements and our potential is something unique among large international companies," says Dominika Kraśko-Białek.

Show your face to the world...
Anyone who wants their photograph to be displayed on a special screen on the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw can join the Aviva community. Just visit our special webpage www.centrumuwagi.pl or Aviva's community on Facebook www.facebook.com/aviva and send your photograph electronically. Photographs from Poland and other countries will be displayed on the Palace of Culture on 22-28 October. The photographs will also appear in buildings in London, Paris and Singapore.

... help for street children
Everyone who joins the Aviva community by making their photograph available will be helping others. Aviva will send £1 to a fund supporting street children for each of the first 250,000 photographs. The objective of the Aviva programme Street to School is to ensure that those children have the chance of an education.

International group of experts
Also, today in London the work is starting of the international team of economics experts in economics, change in social behaviour and politics. The team will produce a report on the most important financial challenges that people and society are facing in the near future. Among the experts is also a representative from Poland – Paweł Świeboda, president of DemoEuropa European Strategy Centre. The group of experts was appointed by Aviva in cooperation with the renowned think tank Economist Intelligence Unit. The report from the group's work will be published in spring 2011.
