The assets of the life insurance and pension funds company Aviva Lithuania have increased by 59.3% as of 31 August of this year, compared to the same period last year, and reached 387.2 million litas. This is 13.6 million more than all the Sodra instalments made to the current clients of our pension funds since 2003, 373.6 million litas in total.

"Thanks to our responsible approach to pension fund management, the majority of Aviva Lithuania clients have seen an increase in their pension fund accounts, compared to the money transferred by Sodra. In this regard we have surpassed the general result in the pension fund market in our country. This encourages us to continue our consistent work and proves that our conservative and cautious approach to investing the assets of the pension funds is right," said Asta Ungulaitiene, director general of Aviva Lithuania.

In 2009, the pension funds managed by Aviva Lithuania have been among the most profitable in Lithuania: from the beginning of this year to the end of August, the Europesija, Europensija plius and Europensija ekstra pension funds managed by the company generated returns of +8.93%, +9.68% and 13.61%, accordingly.

The company’s capital from life insurance investments increased by 34% - from 117 million at the end of August last year to 157.4 million in the same period this year. This year, the total capital managed by the company exceeded half a million litas and at the end of August was 544.6 million litas.
