Broker Mario Bohrmann has blogged the best stories – a video of his prize, a shopping trip with a stylist, is now online – range of blog subjects expanded – profiles more detailed and now accessible to search engines.
The Wiesbaden-based financial services provider Delta Lloyd set up the interactive online portal, Mensch-Makler.de, in autumn 2008 as a communications platform for brokers, and invited brokers to write about their everyday working lives. A prize was offered for the most read entry. The winner was announced on 19 March 2009 as pensions specialist Mario Bohrmann from Wiesbaden, who won with his entry “Trade fair madness”. His prize was a shopping trip in Frankfurt with a stylist and he was also accompanied by a camera crew. The film is now available to view at www.mensch-makler.de.
Informative and entertaining
Mensch-Makler.de is a forum for brokers to swap tips and exchange experiences, but is also about entertainment. Delta Lloyd just provides the setting and moderates discussions. The content is submitted by users themselves.
The platform is currently used regularly by 2,200 brokers and is now being further improved. The blog is now open for all subjects that affect brokers, whether difficult insurance cases, commentary on the financial sector, or hotel and restaurant tips.
At the same time user profiles are being improved with new categories such as “I’m looking for…” and “I’m offering…” which give greater opportunity for an individual presentation. In future, each user will be able to decide whether his or her profile will be accessible to search engines, and whether it can therefore also be found by potential customers.
