Aviva France, a major player in life insurance and long-term savings, asset management and non-life insurance, is this year taking part in the Telethon, staging a 24-hour relay race in the Bruyères Park at Bois-Colombes, from 4pm on Friday 5 December to 4pm on Saturday 6 December.
Aviva France, a major player in life insurance and long-term savings, asset management and non-life insurance, is this year taking part in the Telethon, staging a 24-hour relay race in the Bruyères Park at Bois-Colombes, from 4pm on Friday 5 December to 4pm on Saturday 6 December.
Aviva France, which has committed to a social responsibility approach which is in line with the CSR policy of the Aviva plc, is raising awareness of this commitment amongst its staff and encouraging them to get involved in charity activities. The Aviva relay in support of the Telethon is a perfect example of this. All staff members have been invited to come along with their friends, families and colleagues to run or walk in support of the French Muscular Dystrophy Association. The residents of the Bruyères area are also invited to come along and take part in an event which is designed to bring everyone together.
For every circuit of the park completed, Aviva will donate €2 to the Telethon. Over the week prior to the event, Aviva staff will also have the opportunity to make a donation the French Muscular Dystrophy Association. Aviva will top up each donation.
Last year, Aviva raised €14,000 for the charity and is hoping to do even better this year. With the support of a number of partners, businesses from the area, the town hall of Bois-Colombes and suppliers, this year Aviva France will also be getting Colgate Palmolive, with which it shares a site, involved in the fund-raising.
Everybody is looking forward to the event for their chance to show their support for the French Muscular Dystrophy Association and to give hope to those suffering from the disease. It will also be an opportunity for everybody to get together and strengthen their bonds with the local area of Bruyères.
