Lucky local Susan Toseland, from Wylde Green, was handed the keys to a brand new BMW by Team RAC driver Stephen Jelley earlier this week, after winning the car in a nationwide competition.

Susan correctly guessed the fastest lap time carried out by a Team RAC driver this year to win the top prize, a BMW 320i M Sport and a year's breakdown cover from RAC. The competition ran on the Team RAC website throughout the 2008 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship season.

School teacher Susan said: "I followed Team RAC's results throughout the season, especially once I'd entered the competition, but I didn't think for one second that I'd be in with a chance of winning. Things like this don't happen to me and I can't wait to take it out on the road."

The car is the on-road equivalent of the BMW 320si E90 which were raced by Team RAC drivers Stephen Jelley and Colin Turkington in the 2008 BTCC season, where Team RAC and Turkington won the Independent Teams Trophy and the Independent Drivers Championship respectively.

Jelley said: "The car is great to drive - it handles well and is good fun. I have no doubt that Susan's going to enjoy her car. It was a pleasure to be able to come to her home to present it to her on behalf of Team RAC."

Kerry Gazzard, RAC PR and sponsorship manager, said: "We had thousands of entries for our win a BMW competition and it's great that Susan has won. Everyone at RAC passes on their congratulations and hopes that she enjoys her BMW."
