The monthly premium for Delta Lloyd's basic insurance policy next year amounts to €95.83 (€94.58 in 2008). The annual premium amounts to €1149.96. Thus Delta Lloyd is offering a cutting-edge premium for this restitution policy. Delta Lloyd healthcare insurance offers absolute freedom of choice for all types of healthcare.
Top-up healthcare insurance
Delta Lloyd is renowned for the quality of its portfolio with excellent cover options and often comprehensive reimbursement plans. "That was also be the case in 2009", says Harry van der Zwan, director of marketing and sales. "We are maintaining our extensive range of top-up insurance policies. By 1 January that will consist of the following products: Delta Lloyd Start, Delta Lloyd Extra, Delta Lloyd Compleet, Delta Lloyd Comfort and Delta Lloyd Top. Non-selective acceptance applies to all packages, with the exception of Top."
The premiums for top-up insurance policies are rising on average by 9%. This is exclusive to Delta Lloyd Top. "More than had been expected has been declared on this insurance plan, thus making a premium adjustment necessary. The package has preserved its extremely broad cover and the premium is highly competitive", explains Van der Zwan. Some product options which had been aimed at specific target groups have disappeared from the range, such as those for students and the elderly. Too few people were making use of these insurance products.
‘PerfectTeeth' (TandenGaaf) modules
For cover of upwards of €500 a dentist declaration is currently required. For an equivalent level of cover insurers today no longer need a dentist declaration and the client is always accepted. The "PerfectTeeth" modules are increasing on average by 9%.
Delta Lloyd is working together with the healthcare insurer CZ
Delta Lloyd has entered into a strategic partnership with the healthcare insurer CZ. This means that from 1 January 2009 CZ will carry the insurance risk and will receive the revenue from healthcare policy sales. Delta Lloyd will continue to deal with the sale and development of healthcare insurance policies.
According to Van der Zwan: "We remain active in healthcare. The collaboration with CZ will bring us a number of benefits. With over 3.3 million people insured there is now optimum scope to continue offering competitive premiums and high-quality products. In this way we can also guarantee to provide a better service to our clients. In peak periods it is, for example, better to work up possible extra announcements and modifications.
