Aviva and Bancaja have agreed to name the new managing director of Aseval, José Fuentes Soriano.

Fuentes, with a degree in Business Science, has extensive experience in the insurance and banking sectors. Since 1991, she has had connections with Aseval, where she has been working in different positions of responsibility, the most significant of which was in business administration, and supporting business administration at Aviva Bancaseguros in Spain by coordinating the other companies in the group. She has also been in charge of business administration at Bancaja Insurance Group. Until her recent naming, she was head of business development at Aviva's Bancaseguros in Europe. She has worked in Turkey, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, and Russia.

José Fuentes, managing director of Aseval, says: "Returning to Aseval is a great professional challenge for me. With experience and support from two lead companies such as Bancaja and Aviva, and particularly, with the great team of professionals who are with me in this project, I am totally convinced that we will be able to make sure Aseval continues to hold its position as market leader."

Amparo Ribera, until now the managing director of Aseval, is leaving the company in order to steer her life towards new personal horizons, and is now in a position for early retirement.

David Angulo, executive chairman of the Aviva group, says: "I wish to thank Amparo, on behalf of all the people who make up Aviva, for her dedication to the company over the years, and her invaluable contribution to the success of our business model. We wish her all the best in this new period of her life that is starting now."
