The Geldkoffer financial management pack
The Geldkoffer pack is a complete educational package, designed to teach children about handling their finances. It is intended for children in primary school years seven and eight. Princess Máxima (who is married to Prince Willem-Alexander, the Dutch crown prince) launched the Geldkoffer scheme on 13 May 2008. The Geldkoffer was brought out by NIBUD, the Dutch National Institute for Public Information on Budgeting, and Podium, the instructional education office. Delta Lloyd Group Foundation is a co-sponsor of the pack, with the Foundation's contribution being used to revise the student booklet and produce the teacher guide. The Foundation has also included the CD "The Show of Your Life" in the pack, a quiz about money, saving and lending for children aged between nine and 12. 1,500 of the Geldkoffer packs have been produced and Delta Lloyd Group Foundation has bought up 500 of them.
Delta Lloyd Group Foundation
Delta Lloyd Group Foundation was set up on 1 January 2008 with the aim of stimulating social solutions for financial literacy in The Netherlands. The projects and initiatives supported or developed by the Foundation focus on preventing or resolving the financial difficulties encountered in vulnerable groups in society. Delta Lloyd Group Foundation's strategy to achieve this involves education, information, advice and support in the form of funds, material and people.
