At Herăstrău Park (The Childrens' Island), Aviva Romania and the Easter Bunny welcomed with open arms the children and parents participating in the second running of the innovative competition - "The Easter Egg Hunt".

Bunnies, chocolate eggs, characters from fairy tales, competitions for children, fun, magic... a day full of surprises for children and parents alike! And all this took place on the Childrens' Island in Herăstrău Park on 1 May, when Aviva Romania organised an event dedicated to children, continuing the tradition started last year. Although the competition started at 11am, the Childrens' Island was turned into a fairy tale world from early on in the morning. The games organised by Aviva and the Easter Bunny included a whole host of fun and educational activities, and the children were enthused by the wide range of competitions that had been organised.

At the start of the competition dozens of children aged between three and 15 lined up, eager to demonstrate their skills. In keeping with tradition, they searched amongst the Aviva balloons for red eggs hidden by the crafty Easter Bunny and they collected them in little baskets especially provided by the organisers for this competition. At the end of each round of searching, the children gave the Easter Bunny and his helpers the eggs that they'd found, receiving chocolate eggs in return. The more intrepid competitors, who managed to collect the most eggs, each received a chocolate bunny.

All the children who answered the Easter Bunny's invitation spent several unforgettable hours in the company of characters from fairy tales and shared in a whole host of surprises provided by the company organising the event: Aviva Romania. The braver ones had their faces painted, turning them into kittens, dogs or clowns and they learnt how to make balloon models.

"The Easter Egg Hunt" is one of the oldest Anglo-Saxon traditions, celebrating the arrival of spring and the Easter holiday in some areas. Aviva Romania organised the first such event last year and will continue to provide this special programme for the whole family year after year.
