ZAO SK Aviva is opening a new office in Tyumen, according to a member of the board of directors and operations officer at ZAO SK Aviva, the Russian subdivision of the Aviva group, Europe's leading life and pensions insurance provider and the largest insurance group in Great Britain.

In 2007 the company adopted a regional development strategy aimed at making Aviva's long-term permanent life insurance programmes available to all those living in the Russian Federation. In order to achieve this aim, Aviva plans to open offices in over 40 Russian cities by 2010. The company has already opened offices in a number of major Russian cities including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod and Rostov-on-Don. Opening an office in Tyumen is the latest step in implementing the regional development strategy. The company's regional network now covers an area with a total population of 41 million people.

"As we all know, Tyumen was the first Russian city founded in Siberia. And for Aviva, Tyumen became the first city in Siberia where we have opened one of our offices" said Dmitry Maksimov, a member of the board of directors and operations officer at ZAO SK Aviva. "Tyumen is the centre of the country's main oil and gas area. And energy sources are the basis of Russian exports and one of the driving forces behind the country's economic growth. We were attracted to the region by the high level of income of the population and the size of the consumer market. We were also interested in the high concentration of big business companies. Aviva has already started working in Tyumen and is currently offering its life insurance programmes. These are also offered through the company's banking partners. Our own office in Tyumen gives us the opportunity to provide our customers with an extra service and the chance to receive specialist advice. It also enables us to offer new long-term life insurance products".

ZAO SK Aviva plans to achieve a leading position on the Tyumen life insurance market. Aviva will employ around 150 financial consultants in the company's regional office. In addition to receiving prestigious specialist training and a competitive salary, Aviva gives its employees the opportunity to participate in a staff development programme which offers extensive career prospects to all company employees.

The Tyumen office is conveniently located in the centre of the city. The new office will focus primarily on services for individuals, who will be offered the entire range of savings and life insurance products. The company aims for long-term collaboration with its customers and therefore strives to meet their highest expectations, offering advanced insurance solutions and a faultless service, combining the best aspects of Russian and international traditions.
