"During seven years of activity in Lithuania, we have reached a level of business activity that ensures the stable growth of our firm and the continuation of profitable activity. This is the third year that our life insurance activity has returned a profit. We are hopeful that money invested in our pension fund will begin to pay dividends right from this year, 2008. We have produced reliable financial results while remaining responsible to the community. At the first presentation of awards for socially responsible businesses in Lithuania, our firm was chosen as "Socially Responsible Firm of 2007" in the category of foreign firms operating in Lithuania", says Aviva Lithuania's general manager, Asta Ungulaitienė.
Aviva Lithuania belongs to the international Aviva group, one of the largest life insurance and pension fund groups in Europe and worldwide, with more than 300 years of experience and 45 million clients, including more than 170,000 Aviva Lithuania clients.
In 2007, profits from life insurance activity for the whole Aviva group reached £ 2.75 billion (12.93 billion litai), 35 % more than in 2006, when profits from life insurance activity were £ 2.03 billion (9.54 billion litai).
