- Allegations against Delta Lloyd dismissed as totally unfounded
The court in Amsterdam gave its verdict on Wednesday in long-running proceedings instigated by former partners of the intermediary Heijloo & Molkenboer. All claims of the former partners were rejected by the court.
Delta Lloyd welcomes the court's decision. It confirms that Delta Lloyd and its staff acted entirely properly in this matter and that the former partners of Heijloo & Molkenboer had no grounds whatsoever for their action.
The former partners of the intermediary Heijloo & Molkenboer attempted in three separate cases to demonstrate that in 2001 Delta Lloyd - as the legal successor of Nuts OHRA Holding which was a shareholder in Heijloo & Molkenboer through subsidiaries - had deliberately allowed the intermediary to go bankrupt. In doing so, Delta Lloyd had allegedly damaged the interests of the other shareholders of Heijloo & Molkenboer. The court today concluded that these allegations were entirely unfounded.
