The life insurance and pension funds company Commercial Union Lithuania Life Insurance earned a 3.4 million litas profit during the first half of the year 2007.
The life insurance and pension funds company Commercial Union Lithuania Life Insurance earned a 3.4 million litas profit during the first half of the year 2007. The profit for the first half of the year is 4.3 times greater compared with the company profit earned during the same period last year.
The main source of profit for Commercial Union Lithuania - life insurance. Pension income was first received three years ago, and this year it will bring the first profits. During the first six months of 2007 the returns from life insurance grew more than 50% compared with this same time period last year and reached 31.3 million litas, and returns from investments constituted 2.1 million litas.
"The results for the first half were pleasing as the previous year we had attained a breakeven point for profitability, and consequently this year we have been further realizing the company business plans. We are pleased that our long term savings and insurance services are already appreciated by more than 170 thousand Lithuanian people" maintains Commercial Union Lithuania's general director Asta Ungulaitiene.
The company Commercial Union Lithuania which has been operating in Lithuania for six years is one of the market leaders for life insurance and pensions income in our country. The equity held by the company this year amounts to 245 million litas.
