Aviva Vie announces new offers for savers for autumn 2007: a new version of its flagship product, Lisséo, new financial options available for policies and a new long-term care insurance policy.

Products giving peace of mind in volatile markets
With the CAC 40 hovering around 6,000 points, a level it has not reached for six years, when investing in shares, savers are now faced with a major risk of short-term correction.

This is why it is important to remember two rules: opt for long-term investments and invest gradually to even out the ups and downs in the stock market.

Aviva Lisséo September 2008
With Aviva Lisséo September 2008, the saver invests his or her capital in the guaranteed fund for the offer, at a rate of 4.40%(1). Then, automatic monthly switches take place free of charge so that the savings are invested in eligible Unit-Linked products offered by Aviva Gestion d'Actifs.

Three new free financial options for managing life insurance policies
Alongside this, as from 3 September 2007, all customers of Aviva Vie who hold policies from the Sélectivaleurs, NLC and NLO ranges will be able to benefit free of charge from new financial options for managing their policy or policies with:

  • The Progressive Investment Plan (PIP): having invested in a prudent investment fund (such as a euro fund), customers of Aviva Vie will be able to make monthly switches to one or more dynamic financial funds from the range of funds of Aviva Gestion d'Actifs.
  • The Scheduled Switch Plan (PAP), which enables monthly switches of all or part of the savings invested in a financial fund to one or more other funds in the range.
  • The Scheduled Buy-Back Plan (PRP), which, pro rata to the various financial funds involved, enables customers who so wish to continue to invest in unit-linked products whilst carrying out scheduled switches. The client no longer has to restrict scheduled buy-backs to euro funds.

These offers are perfectly in accord with the Good Advice approach, which has been thoroughly adopted by the networks for several years now. Aviva Vie remains true to its convictions, favouring the choice of unit-linked products when setting up life insurance portfolios and providing the customer with close guidance in the long term.

Long-term care insurance with Aviva
It is estimated that by 2040, over one million people will require long-term care. Depending on the individual situation, care costs currently range from 1,000 to 3,000 euros per month.

In response to these potential liabilities, from mid-September Aviva will offer Long-Term Care Insurance, guaranteeing those between 50 and 75 years of age a lifelong monthly annuity paid if partial or total long-term care is required. One of the advantages of this product is that it enables the policyholder to receive a minimum annuity after eight years of paying premiums if the payments cease.

There will also be a telephone helpline to provide individual assistance for customers with their daily needs (home help, hospital visits, etc).

Naturally, more detailed information on these autumn offers will be available at the beginning of September.

1 Before deduction of tax and social security contributions. Rate applying to net sums invested in the "Aviva Lisséo September 2008" offer fund. This net annual rate of 4.50% is guaranteed from 6 September 2007 to 5 September 2008 pro rata to the period of investment in this fund. On 5 September 2008, all sums still invested in the offer fund following the final scheduled monthly switch will automatically be switched free of charge in accordance with the distribution laid down for the scheduled monthly switch carried out on 15 August 2008.
