On 1 July this year there will be a change in the management team of Commercial Union Poland General Insurance Company.
On 1 July this year there will be a change in the management team of Commercial Union Poland General Insurance Company. Anna Katarzyna Wojciechowska has, for family reasons, resigned from the position of general manager. From 1 July until the appointment of a new general manager, the company will be managed by Urszula Gąsior, deputy general manager of Commercial Union Poland General Insurance Company.
"I would like to thank Anna Wojciechowska very much for her huge contribution to the development of the general insurance company in the Commercial Union Poland group. Thanks to her involvement, the company has achieved a very strong position in commercial lines business, developed an up-to-date individual insurance offer and prepared a plan for the introduction of motor insurance," says Adam Uszpolewicz, chief executive of Commercial Union Poland group and chairman of the supervisory board of Commercial Union Poland General Insurance Company.
Anna Katarzyna Wojciechowska joined Commercial Union Poland General Insurance Company in 1996 as development director. In 1997 she became a member of the company's management board, supervising the commercial lines business. In 1999 she became deputy general manager of the management board. In July 2004 she was appointed general manager.
Commercial Union Poland General Insurance Company specialises in commercial lines insurance for companies and institutions, sold mainly by brokers (amongst others, fire insurance and loss of profit insurance, technical insurance, insurance of goods in transport and civil liability insurance) and personal lines insurance (home and apartment insurance, personal accident insurance and travel insurance). Small and medium companies are offered the business partner insurance package.
On the turn of this year Commercial Union will launch motor insurance sold direct - that is by telephone or internet.
In 2006 Commercial Union Poland General Insurance Company collected 103 million zlotys of gross premiums (31% more than in 2005), earning 12.8 million zlotys profit.
